BUTTERFLY PAVILION AT THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Designed for The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History Botanical Garden, The Butterfly Pavilion is intended to draw visitors to an enchanting display of live butterflies among a native habitat.  The aim is to celebrate the natural environment while stimulating conservation activism. The Botanical Garden is bordered on two ends by city streets has a highly urban context. The Pavilion evokes a translucent butterfly eggshell – light both materially and in appearance.
