MARCY WONG, Partner
Marcy Wong received her B.A. in Art History from Columbia University, Barnard College in New York City. She obtained her graduate (M.Arch.) degree in architecture from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture where she was awarded the William Kinney Travelling Fellowship and her graduate degree in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. Following Stanford, she practiced in both fields of architecture and engineering in San Francisco CA, Honolulu HI, and Hartford CT. For ten years Ms. Wong served on the architecture faculty at UC Berkeley during which time she founded her solo practice, and with the advent of the new century, she and Donn Logan formed the current partnership in Berkeley, CA. The firm’s work covers a diverse array of building types, a large proportion of which is for cultural and arts facilities. Ms. Wong’s projects have received awards from national American Institute of Architects, California Council AIA; the San Francisco AIA; the East Bay AIA; Interiors Magazine; the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the United States Institute of Theatre Technology.

DONN LOGAN, Partner
Soon after graduation from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Donn Logan launched his professional career with commissions resulting from design competitions entered with his former classmates. These projects led to the founding of his first firm, ELS / Elbasani, Logan Severin. While at ELS, he was lead designer for the firm’s civic, institutional and urban design work. A decade ago, he left that firm to form his current partnership with Marcy Wong. Mr. Logan’s work has received major design awards, including seven prizes in major design competitions, Progressive Architecture citations and numerous AIA design awards at the national, state and local levels. His projects have been published in Architectural Record, Sunset Magazine, House Beautiful, Interiors, Architectural Review, Progressive Architecture, Interior Design, San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times, and SF Examiner’s Image Magazine, among others. Mr. Logan was Professor of Architecture at UC Berkeley for twenty years.

KENT ROYLE, Associate Principal
Kent Royle received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of California Berkeley and his undergraduate degree in physics from UC Santa Cruz. He is a licensed architect with expertise in energy consumption analysis and energy code compliance of buildings. He is co-author of “Strategies for Energy Efficient Architecture” for the Best Energy Education Publication” which was recognized with an award by the United States Department of Energy. Mr. Royle has managed a wide variety of project types ranging from arts and education to industrial and infra-structure developments, taking the projects from preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration.

TAI-RAN TSENG, Associate Principal
Following receipt of his Bachelor degree in engineering at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Tai-Ran Tseng received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he attended the Charles Moore Program in Architectural Design and the Oxford Program. He has over 15 years of professional experience in design, management and construction administration of a wide range of projects including performing arts and conference centers, park facilities and recreation centers, residences and housing developments, and educational facilities and institutional offices. He is a member of the AIA, and serves on the Home Tours Committee at the AIA East Bay. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, and has completed many LEED projects. In addition to his technical and architectural expertise, Mr. Tseng is an accomplished fine artist.
